However as a witch he has the ability to cast glamours to change his hair, eyes, etc. PB is Seii Teramoto History: Over here. Personality: Socially, Ciro is outgoing and friendly. While he makes friends easily, they rarely ever end up forming meaningful connections. He keeps a lot of things about himself private and hardly has any conversations that aren't either related to magic or mostly superficial. In his centuries of life he's become comfortable with who his is as a person, and knows that he has the tendency to get hurt when he's too trusting of people, so he keeps them at arms length for his own protection. It certainly doesn't stop him from flirting and taking lovers, though. Since he's an empath, he can feel the emotions of the people around him very intensely, and if he's not careful he ends up taking on those emotions himself. So he's particularly picky about anyone he might want to let himself get close to long term. Some days, he becomes overwhelmed by them and avoids people entirely, and other days he has more control and a stronger barrier of where his emotions end and someone else's begin. His empathy doesn't just apply to people with good intentions. He's even capable of empathizing with horrible people, and it works to his favor just about as often as it doesn't. He doesn't like to say no to people because he can feel the same disappointment the moment he does. His empathy also makes him something of a pacifist. Ciro will avoid conflict, arguments, and violence as best he can, but there's only so much one can do to dodge such situations. Ciro is a free spirit in a lot of ways with an affinity for plants and herbalism (from his mother), and would be adequate with physical magic had he not given it up due to the fire incident in his late childhood. While he's of the belief that no magic is Bad Magic, he's also a firm believer in karma, and that what you do to others will surely come back at you threefold. Like many other witches he can get obsessive about learning new things in his area of interest, and he keeps pretty detailed notes about different plants, herbs, and items in nature and their physical and magical properties. Also, like other witches, Ciro is susceptible to the temptation of power, but for the most part he's more knowledge craving than power-hungry at first glance. He likes gardening, the outdoors, speaking to insects (not an ability, they don't speak back, he's just a weirdo), and being in nature. Ciro strongly prefers plants to people, but has compassion for every living thing. Plants and animals just have far less emotional depth for his empathy to turn against him. Ciro also tends to be very optimistic about things, believing that given time, and good karma, good things will come. Some of his more negative traits include being bad at following rules/taking orders, invading personal space without permission, not respecting boundaries, being overly physically affectionate, intense mood-swings in response to heightened emotions around him, and the most problematic of them all, questionable ethics. He might try to "help" someone and in doing so overstep into ethical gray areas in his magic without much remorse. For example, he's not above making or performing break up curses, love potions, or seduction totems for clients, just as long as no one is physically harmed he seems unbothered in giving people what they ask for. Powers and Abilities: ▶ EMPATH:Ciro can sense a person's emotional state easily if they aren't guarding from it, or using magical wards to do so. ▶ SMELL/TASTE/TOUCH: He's very experienced in magical perception and can smell, taste, or feel magical properties in people, plants, and objects. Usually he needs to do all three to get a full understanding of someone/something's magical profile. It can be gross to witness at times, but he tries not to be too nasty in front of others. Relating to this ability, he can get a feel of the kind of residual magic that was performed recently in the space around him. ▶ PHYSICAL MAGIC: Due to his childhood trauma, he has largely been disinterested in using/practicing/honing his physical magic skills. He doesn't ever attempt elemental magic except under very specific (and controlled) circumstances. The type of magic he prefers is making charms/potions/edibles/totems where he infuses his magic directly into something (or occasionally someone). He is technically able to do physical magic, but it almost always goes wrong. He can do simple spells like door locking/unlocking, simple wards, glamours, healing, and uncomplicated reversal spells. For everything else he bothers Rune. ▶ PSYCHIC ABILITY/DIVINATION: He can't read minds, at all. If he gives that impression it's usually his ability to sense moods. Ciro can, however, look into a person's possible future using cards, crystals, or candles. Usually he see's the most likely future, but he always gives the disclaimer that once he sees it and shares it with the person it tends to stop being the most likely future. So a lot of the time his readings don't come to pass, good or bad.
