Did you have anything specific you wanted to see in the Up? I admit I haven't made much progress with finding a garden space, but I just moved closer to the beach, so you're free to just come here and have a cup of tea and chat a while as well.
Let me know what you'd like to do, and I'll make it happen.
[He hated that elevator thing, but it was a good landmark, so he dutifully went and waited for his 'escort.' His clothes were no different than when he'd made his post, but they were clean and all he had so he likely stood out from those passing around him.
When he caught sight of someone approaching, however, he smiled and nodded to him. His words lilting and his tone light.]
[Ciro arrives in the Down some time later, dressed casually and comfortably. He doesn't plan to stay down there long after he finds the man he's looking for.
There's one person standing around stationary while others passed by and Ciro suspects this must be his guy. He approaches cautiously, just in case, offering a little bit of a smile.]
I'm not sure you strike me as the sort that needs rescuing, but here I am. It's a shame they have people living down here when the buildings up there are so nice, but I don't think things will change any time soon.
[Ciro holds out a hand to shake, thinking better of it since he's assuming things. It's possible that the young man comes from somewhere that it may not be customary, but his hand is already hovering so it's too late to retract now without fumbling with his greeting.]
Good to meet you in person, and I'm glad that you're still in one piece.
[Chris' smile comes easier with the confirmation this is the person he was waiting for and he easily takes the offered hand in his own, slightly calloused, one.]
Same to you, though more the greeting than the 'one piece,' I get the feeling you're fairly set at that.
[He took a quick glance around, though his expression was more passive than angry or even sad about the state of the Down.]
For this place...a city has to care about it's lowest people as the same for it's highest to be worth anything. So long as those in power stay there, I wouldn't expect to see a drip of change to things.
[He sighed. The weight of the reality of this place was too familiar, too like the city he'd grown up in and helped change from exactly this sort of thing into something he could maybe be proud of. He didn't think he'd be 'home' again so quickly and in the worst way.
He turned a tight smile back to Ciro and nodded to the elevator.]
But if you want to talk politics, I'd prefer it in the ocean breeze, if it's all the same to you. I've missed the sea.
[Ciro isn't just poking fun a the young man for being scrappy, there's some genuine concern because he doesn't know how lenient the guards are here with Submissives. Even if it isn't his business, he can't help being a bit concerned.]
I try to avoid trouble like the plague, so you don't have to worry about me.
[He's quiet regarding the observation of the city, not sure he's allowed to speak freely against the system here, but he wholeheartedly agrees, even nodding at his words.] You're not wrong, but having hope that it can change won't hurt either. Though, obviously, it will take much more than hope for things to change. It's strange for someone like me to be on this side of things.
[Ciro is happy to be out of the Down as well, but the Up is also just a reminder of how unequal things are for the people of the city. Maybe that's why he picked somewhere to live on the outskirts by the ocean. Sometimes he can just forget about all of that (though even that causes him a lot of guilt).]
My Submissive might be home, but he keeps to himself, mostly. [The scent of the ocean hits them before the view does, and it's a nice one, considering. He doesn't linger, though. Ciro unlocks the door to step inside his home.]
I'll just be a second. I made food and drinks for us to enjoy on the beach. Make yourself at home, though.
[As soon as the scent hits him, something in his chest uncoils a bit that he didn't know had gotten so tight. His shoulders, posture, everything seems to relax just a bit.
He's still a little absent when Ciro speaks, but he nods and his smile is lighter.]
Thank you. I don't want to impose.
[He took a quick glance around the cozy house from what he could see in the doorway, but stayed put despite the invitation. From the doorway, he could close his eyes, hear the sound of the waves and the tang of the salt air and almost forget it wasn't the Moonsea.
When he catches that Ciro is coming back, he glances over his shoulder to him.]

And only minor trouble achieved, for which I was not caught, so that is also a plus.
Where may I meet you?

I'll meet you near the elevators and I'll take you there.

Here to rescue me from a few off-color stares?

You have a lovely place here.
